Authorized Economic Operator
The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certificate is an internationally recognised quality mark indicating that your role in the international supply chain is secure, and that your customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant.
On the basis of Article 5a of the security amendments to the Community Customs Code, AEO status can be granted to any economic operator meeting the common criteria of:
- record of compliance with customs requirements
- satisfactory system of managing commercial and, where appropriate, transport records, which allows appropriate customs controls
- proven financial solvency
- appropriate security and safety standards
The aim of the certification is a secure supply-chain from producer to enduser.
